Marketing claim checker
Can I credibly say this?
'Saves 10 hours a week.' 'Loved by thousands.' 'Set up in minutes.' Before a claim goes on a landing page, ask what the customers actually said. ProofCopy's Claim Check retrieves the relevant observations, flags figures the evidence never states, and returns a verdict with the supporting and contradicting quotes and a safer version of the claim.
- 1Run an analysis on your feedback once; its verified observations become the evidence base.
- 2Type any claim. A deterministic gate flags numbers and quantities the quotes never mention.
- 3Get a verdict, the unsupported words, the exact supporting and contradicting messages, and a safer version.
How the verdicts work
SUPPORTED: several customers say it, none contradict it. WEAKLY SUPPORTED: one or two customers, or hedged language. UNSUPPORTED: nothing in the evidence backs it, or it contains figures nobody wrote. CONTRADICTED: more customers say the opposite than say it. Unsupported figures can never be SUPPORTED, whatever the model thinks.
What this is and is not
It is an editorial aid that keeps you honest with your own evidence. It is not legal, advertising-standards or regulatory compliance, and it cannot verify a claim about the product itself, only whether your customers said it.
Questions
- Can I check claims without running an analysis?
- Claim Check needs an evidence base, so run a Quick Scan first (free) on the feedback you want to test against.
- Does it rewrite the claim?
- It proposes a safer version that only says what the quotes support. You decide whether to use it.
- Which claims are most at risk?
- Anything with a number, a superlative, or a benefit no customer described in their own words.
